When I adopted Lola, my now 3 year old boxer mix, I wanted to make sure all the stuff that comes along with having a dog didn’t change the aesthetic of my cute apartment. The result was chic dog beds, toys that imitate champagne bottles, and matching blankets. Here are some of my favorite items that could make great gifts for the dog or dog owner in your family. All products have been puppy approved by Lola.
Car Seat
Lola is 50 lbs and just barely fits. I’d recommend for a small or medium sized dog.
Calming Dog Donut Bed
I am so jealous of her when Lola is in this bed. Not only is she obsessed with it but it’s cute decor for my living room that doesnt look too “dog bed-y”.
Activity Jacket
A must have for the active dog; Lightweight, reflective, reversible, waterproof, and won’t cause your dog to overheat. Perfect for the dog who gets cold but also works up a sweat. Comes in a lot of color combos.
Classic Yellow Dog Raincoat
Lola looks like a little fisherman heading out to sea when she wears this and it kills me. She HATES being wet so I finally had to buy this so she would go out in the rain. For reference, Lola is 50 lbs and wears a size large in this item.
Puffer Jacket
For dogs who are into fashion and like a short sleeve on their jackets. Lola’s coat has long sleeves and I don’t think she loves them. She would probably prefer something more like this. She has very short hair so she needs to wear something when the temps dip below 40 degrees or so.
Carhartt Dog Coat
This is for a legit dog that spends a lot of time outside in the cold weather. Possibly working on a farm or hunting ducks. It’s not Lola’s style, it doesn’t even come in pink, but I’ve heard it keeps dogs super warm!
Chenille Holiday Sweater
So chic. A simple sweater you can just throw on.
Santa Riding Dog Outfit
Because we could all use some extra laughs these days.
Himalayan Dog Chew
My dog loves to chew and destroy toys and bones. I love that these chews are long lasting and safe to ingest because they’re made from real ingredients.
Plush Throw Blanket
I personally don’t really like sharing my blankets on the couch so Lola gets her own. I always have blankets on the couch because it keeps the couch clean without looking like I’m trying to cover the couch to keep it clean. And it’s machine washable.
Dog Puzzle Bowl
Lola devours her food in 10 seconds. That’s common of animals who have previously lived in a shelter; they eat quickly before any other dogs can eat it first. I know eating too quickly can cause bloat so I gave this bowl a try. At the very least, it keeps her occupied a little longer and uses up some energy, which is particularly helpful in the winter when we are cooped up inside a lot.
Woof Clicquot Squeaky Toy
If my house is going to be littered with dog toys then they are going to be toys that look like champagne bottles.
Merlot Dog Toy
Crunchy water bottle inside that can be refilled once it’s destroyed with any empty water bottle!
White Claw Squeaky Toys
For the Basic B dogs.
Pet Safe Ice Melter
This is safer for your pet AND the environment. Traditional rock salt ice irritates animals paws.
Paw Wax
Protects paws against the elements (snow, heat, etc). My dog refuses to wear booties and when we used to live in the city a lot of buildings used an ice melter that would irritate dogs paws so the wax was a good substitute.
Wireless Camera
This is the perfect camera for a pet (or a child, or a spouse, etc). It was super easy to set up (I did it myself in less than 10 minutes), has 360 degree coverage, night vision, and even two-way audio. My dog gets anxious when I leave so it’s comforting to be able to see what she’s doing when I’m not home. Which it turns out is always just sleeping.
Happy Birthday Kit
I got this for Lola’s 3rd birthday. We had to celebrate alone because of covid but the pictures I got out of it made the day feel special and totally worth it. For reference, Lola is 50 lbs and it fit her well. Everything is adjustable and fits most sized dogs.
Resolve Pet Cleaner
This product is AMAZING for getting red wine stains out. I’ve literally spilled half a bottle on an off white couch and it came completely clean. Also works with pet stains, for which is what it’s actually intended.
20 oz Yeti Cup
THE cup for dog walks. Keeps cold drinks cold and hot items hot. Spill proof, sweat proof, and super durable.
Yeti Dog Bowl
Obviously your dog needs a Yeti bowl to match your Yeti cup. I love that it keeps the water cold in the warmer months and I also just like the way it looks in my kitchen.
Collapsible Bowls
Speaking of being outdoorsy, these bowls are great for long days outside. I bring one with me on long walks or to the beach and this way we can share one bottle of water (that I’ve obviously brought in my Yeti cup).
Ombre Rope Dog Leash
Super durable/long-lasting and comes in several colors.
Herschel Fanny Pack
Perfect for walking the dog, especially if you don’t have pockets (mask, keys, poop bags, phone, etc). I like looping the leash into the belt for a hands free walk. I also often clip the collapsible bowl to it.
