Mykonos

The long standing reputation that Mykonos is the party island is still holding strong today. It’s one of my favorite islands because of the vibrant energy, international crowrds, and plethora of things to do day and night. However, in order to take all of the fun and the crowds in stride, you need to do this island correctly.

Who It’s For:

I’ve been to Mykonos 10 times and I think I’ve only really “raged” one time. I just like the energetic vibe. It feels like everyone there is ready to have a good time.

Things To Do:

  • BEACH CLUBS. This is *the * place for beach clubs. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a raging party either, as there are very chill clubs where you just lounge all day.

  • Nightlife

  • Shopping

  • Delos

Where to Stay:

This is an extremely loaded question for Mykonos because there are SO MANY hotels so let me first provide some advice regarding location.

  • You will notice that there are hardly any hotels in the northern part of the island. That is because it’s very windy. If you are looking to rent a house then be very careful of villas that are beautiful and at a good price and located in the northern part of the island.

  • It’s difficult to find taxis on the island so most people either rent scooters or use the hotel car

  • There is a lot of traffic on this island so if you plan to go into town a lot it’s best to look for a place that isn’t too far away.
